On Monday, June 6, approximately a dozen local WWII veterans marked the 78th anniversary of D-Day in a ceremony at Bowman Field in Louisville. Honor Flight Bluegrass hosted the ceremony which featured the Ladies for Liberty performing patriotic USO songs for the veterans. After the ceremony, a number of the veterans enjoyed restored military jeep rides through Seneca Park. The rides were provided by KILROY, a local MVPA chapter.
