The Staff at Thomson-Hood Veterans Center, a long-term veteran care facility in Wilmore, Kentucky (Thomson-Hood Veterans Center (ky.gov) , are hoping to have 108 people send Birthday Cards to Mr. Wilson.
Mr. Wilson served in the United States Navy during both World War II and Korea. Each month Volunteers from Military Missions drop off “Birthday Bags” for Veteran residents at Thomson-Hood. Each Birthday Boy and Birthday Girl Veteran receive Birthday Card, Bookmark with their name, Hat, National Geographic, pair of socks and package of Kleenex.
Today I just wanted to meet this fine American, so they woke him from his late morning nap. He looks tired but we had a nice 10-minute talk.
